Fainting Goat Wineries Wedding | Kenna + Jack

He took a deep breath and slowly exhaled. He could hear her feet walking through the lush grass behind him. As her footsteps drew closer, tears welled up in his eyes. I can only guess that he was imagining what his sweet bride looked like in that moment. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a piece of paper. His hands trembled a bit as they both read hand-written prayers to each other. As he turned around to see his bride, he had to stop in awe of her beauty. His head fell to his hands for a moment before he finally lifted her veil to see her face.

Kenna and Jack met in college at GCSU. He was a senior, and she was a sophomore. They met for the first time at their local favorite coffee shop, Blackbird Coffee. For Jack, it was the closest thing to love at first sight. For Kenna, it took a little more convincing. Jack and Kenna are very different people with their own signature quirks, but these differences draw them together. He calms her down, she adds adventure. He knows when to make her laugh just when she needs it. She said she knows how to make him feel loved and appreciated when he needs it.  Jack is a sports guy through and through. If you name a team in any sport, he can tell you their stats and star players automatically. Missions is Kenna’s calling. Going on medical missions gives Kenna a purpose and joy like no other.

Kenna said that their relationship is tied together by family, friends, and our love for good food and drinks. However, their relationship is ultimately ordained and sustained by the Lord. This was so very apparent in their wedding day! I could see how He tied them together in ways they never knew were possible.

Their beautiful, September wedding day at Fainting Goat Wineries was picture perfect. Some of my favorite highlights were:

  • Starting off the day at the girls’ cabin where almost immediately upon arriving we saw a black bear family!
  • Jack’s emotional reaction to seeing Kenna for the first time
  • The INCREDIBLE support of their Christ-centered bridal party. They all gathered around Kenna and Jack and covered them in prayer during the ceremony. It makes me tear up thinking about it.
  • The way Jack looked at Kenna the entire day. You can just SEE how much he loves her.
  • The reception! The whole party LOVED to dance!!
  • One of the groomsmen lifting up another during the Titantic theme song that played. (Tell me it’s not the funniest thing ever when you see it!)

Congratulations, Kenna and Jack. I cannot even begin to tell you how grateful I am to have been a part of your wedding day. You all are a dream. Wishing you all the happiness in the world!!
