For a few months, Patty and Josh’s mutual friend Lauren (who happened to be their officiant!) had been trying to set Josh and I up, but the timing never seemed to work out. Lauren described this perfectly during their ceremony – her two favorite people in the world would probably get along great! Finally, fate took over on Christmas night, 2012 – Patty and Josh happened to meet by chance at one of their favorite bars, 97 Estoria. They talked for the rest of the night and then went their separate ways. Exactly a week later, they bumped into each other again on New Years Eve and Patty invited Josh to go to another party with her. He met her there awhile later and she said she finally forced my phone number into his phone.

Patty and Josh ended up hanging out pretty consistently for the next 15 months. Finally, on March 8, 2014, Patty had to break the news to Josh that everyone already assumed they were a couple and that she was basically his girlfriend. 😉 After a few mimosas, Josh was ready to accept and they’ve been together ever since. Josh proposed on July 15th in front of their friends while we were watching the World Cup and completely caught Patty off guard. They also adopted a dog together in December, Dolly, and Patty said she has quickly become the queen of the house! Dolly was a part of their photos and wedding ceremony… just wait until you see the photo where she scooted closer to her mom and dad. It was right after they had said their vows… it was like Dolly knew!!

Patty and Josh’s wedding day at the Historic Dekalb Courthouse was a beautiful, sunshine-filled day, full of joy and laughter. Their ceremony, officiated by their friend Lauren who first introduced them, was heartfelt and touching… and also hilarious! Working with Patty and Josh was an absolute dream. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Party Shark! 🙂
