Sam & Sam | Sandy Creek Barn at Reynolds Lake Oconee

Boy Sam and Girl Sam met in middle school in their hometown of Hudson, Ohio. They became fast friends but it wasn’t until their senior year of high school that the Sams became a couple! Being as private as they were, they waited about 6 months before they told their friends and family… including their best friends! They are truly high school sweethearts — going to prom and even Ohio State together!

Boy Sam and Girl Sam were taking a trip to Hilton Head, their first solo vacation together, to celebrate their birthdays (yes, another thing they have in common!) and Girl Sam decided that they should have a picnic on the beach their first night there. After a day of travel, Girl Sam knew she wanted to spend as much time on the beach as they could. She even thought to pack a special bottle of wine to celebrate moving into our first house. At the time she did not know that Boy Sam was planning to propose during our vacation, but he popped the question that first night on the beach! Girl Sam unknowingly “planned” her own proposal!! After saying yes immediately, her first question was “did you ask my dad?!”

Sam and Sam got married on a gorgeous November day. We started the day at Girl Sam’s mom’s house — a stunning home at Lake Oconee with views to die for! All the gals were hanging out and watching Girl Sam get ready while Boy Sam and the guys were shooting clays.

Their ceremony, officiated by Boy Sam’s father, was heartfelt and funny. There is something so special about having family members bless a couple’s union! After the beautiful ceremony, and tons of gorgeous bride and groom photos, the couple hit the dance floor. It was TRULY a party! You could see in the eyes of each one of their guests how truly loved Sam and Sam are. It was a beautiful wedding for an incredible couple.

Congratulations to Sam Evans x2! As Katey and Hayley, Girl Sam’s sisters said, enjoy a lifetime of figuring out whose mail is whose!
