Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation | Taylor and Chris

How they met: Taylor and Chris met during Taylor’s senior year in high school. Taylor recently switched jobs to work at an Italian restaurant and Chris trained her on the second night on the job! Chris had been working there for years (and was currently in college) and had come home from school that semester to work. After the first night Chris trained Taylor at work, Taylor went home and told her mom that the cutest guy ever was training her! She said she was nervous to talk to him, but that he probably didn’t notice me in *that* way.

Luckily for Taylor, Chris did! They started talking and joking around a lot at work, texting when they weren’t at work together.

When Chris went back to UGA that summer, they decided to start dating. Taylor would go to Athens often to visit him. When Taylor started at UGA in the fall, he helped me move into my dorm. They were together all through college and when Taylor graduated, the two of them moved to Atlanta.

The proposal: Chris and Taylor had a trip planned to Ireland with Taylor’s parents (and hello, what a perfect place to propose)! Taylor was most excited for was the Cliffs of Moher walking tour they booked. The walk was about 4 hours long, and Chris waited until the tour guide said we had arrived at the spot with the best view of the cliffs *swoon*. The two of them posed for a picture, then Chris dropped down on one knee in front of the whole walking tour group! Taylor said she was stunned and even forgot to say “yes” before hugging him and putting the ring on!

Their wedding day: Taylor and Chris were another couple impacted by covid… but that didn’t stop them from celebrating their union! Their initial plan actually included another photographer – a friend of mine who has worked with me on a few weddings… but she recently moved across the country to California. I’m so thankful that Rachel trusted me to capture Taylor and Chris’s beautiful day!

Their wedding day was a gorgeous, sunny summer day. The inside of their church was breathtaking with intricate details and colorful panels and ceilings. Their traditional Greek Orthodox ceremony was incredible to watch! They had three major traditions – the exchanging of the rings, the crowning ceremony, and the circling. Chris told me before the ceremony that he was just so excited to see Taylor and to marry her, which was totally evident by his emotional reaction of her walking down the aisle! These two were made to be together. What a joy it was to watch them become husband and wife!

Congratulations, Chris and Taylor! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness!
