A Sunny South Florida Wedding at Galuppi’s in Pompano Beach, Florida.

Gina and Jorge’s wedding was a beautiful mixture of a high school reunion, true friendships, and unconditional love.

It’s very rare that I know everyone in the bridal party and the fact that I knew each person for at least a decade made Gina and Jorge’s wedding weekend so special. The support that their friends and family show for them speaks volumes to what wonderful people they are!

Gina and Jorge’s story started over a decade ago. Well, maybe even more because Gina and Jorge met in middle school but don’t remember it! The true beginning of their relationship started with a trip to Orlando. Gina and our friends Katie and Bridget and Jorge and his friend Thabo and Jordan all went on a vacation to Orlando. Naturally, I was at some sort of dance competition and could not go to Orlando with them so I missed this entire weekend. Their connection was so strong that since that day, Gina and Jorge have been inseparable.

Gina and Jorge fight for each other and for their dreams and it is such a joy to watch. They truly have grown up together and seeing their love grow stronger and stronger of the years is a testament to true love and finding your soulmate.

Their wedding day was sheer perfection. If you grew up in South Florida, you know we only have decent weather in the wintertime and their February wedding was seriously the most gorgeous day of the year. It was sunny and cool and breezy. Every detail that Gina planned out was intentional and beautiful, just like her. Her bridesmaids were a mixture of friends and family but those core people have been in her life for years. And all but one of them were competitive dancers… When I say dancers have a strong bond, I’m not lying! Jorge’s groomsmen were the same… All of them friends for decades, their bond obvious as I listened in on conversations of the day. The best man, Thabo, made sure everyone was fed and all the groomsmen made sure that they were well hydrated… If you know what I mean!

When I spoke with Gina as she was planning her wedding, she made it very clear that it was having plenty of portrait time was the top of her priority list! Gina and Jorge decided to have a first look and it was the sweetest thing ever! Both of them were very emotional when they saw each other and it just took everything in my power not to cry behind my camera.

The ceremony was quick and sentimental and the reception was exactly what I had hoped for – a giant dance party. Gina asked for me to enjoy the reception without taking photos so I did just that!

Congratulations to one of the most incredible couples I have ever met. Wishing you a lifetime of love, laughter, puppy snuggles, and vegan food. I love you two so much!
