Hi friends and welcome to my blog!
I’m Stephanie, a senior and family portrait photographer based in Macon, Georgia. Here on the blog, you'll find recent sessions, tips and tricks, and personal stories. Feel free to take a look around. Thanks for stopping by!
When we found out we were pregnant back in May, I knew I wanted our wedding photographer, Claire, to take our maternity photos. The only bad part was that I knew I’d hit prime maternity photo time during the busiest month of a photographer’s year: October.
Thankfully, Claire was willing to make the drive from Athens to Macon to capture the most special time in our lives! It was SO fun to be in front of her camera again! I remember how wonderful she made us feel during our engagement photos and wedding day and it immediately brought us back to those moments… except this time, there was no stress and no pressure! These photos were really for us to have, to remember this time of growing our baby boy.
Typically, I suggest getting maternity photos taken during 30-32 weeks of pregnancy but we decided to take ours a little after 28 weeks. I’m glad I did because I started feeling very puffy once I hit 30 weeks! Pregnancy is HARD, y’all, and these photos made me feel absolutely beautiful. These days, it’s very hard to feel pretty at all… as I type this, I’m 37.5 weeks pregnant, balancing the computer on my belly with pillows surrounding me, barely fitting into some maternity leggings and elevating my swollen ankles!
I knew I wanted photos at two of my favorite Macon locations: Macon City Auditorium and Tattnall Square Park. I love the classiness of the Auditorium and knew it would pair nicely with a dressier outfit. I love the sunsets at Tattnall Square Park, too, so I knew we would love finishing our session there. Enjoy some of my favorites below!
