How they met: Kristina and Aaron met through a flag football team. The team was running plays during practice one day and Aaron was the quarterback. Kristina was up next to run one of the plays and attempted to catch the pass… and, well, in her own words, Kristina does not have very good hand-eye coordination so instead of catching the football with her hands… she caught it with her face! From that point on they have been inseparable. It is now a running joke with their friends that picking on your crush actually does work out in your favor.

The Proposal: Kristina and Aaron took a trip to LA to visit Kristina’s sister, Kailyn. Kristina had been studying for a huge exam for months and the couple really needed a vacation. Friday they made plans to go for a hike in the morning then go to Santa Monica for dinner. They arrived at Santa Monica beach early evening and headed to the beach. As they were walking along the beach, Aaron says Kristina’s name, takes her by the hands and drops down to one knee. Annnnd of course Kristina said yes… but there was more! Aaron had planned for Kristina’s best friend to fly into California for the engagement and surprise her during the special moment. What an amazing day that was!

Kristina and Aaron originally planned to have their wedding in Jamaica but due to coronavirus, they had to postpone their destination wedding. They chose to have an intimate ceremony at the Gavi Estate with their closest family members. It was such a perfect summer day full of love, laughter, and a beautiful sunset!
