A Delray Beach, Florida engagement session

Getting to photograph one of your friends from high school’s engagement? Let me tell ya… there is nothing like it!

Alex and Jake are so fun to be around and really are a perfect match. I enjoyed spending my morning in Delray Beach with them! We started out at a little park that had beach access. Well, we thought we could access the beach… there was construction happening there but we eventually found a way to dip our toes in the sand!

I met Jake for the first time on their engagement session day but Alex and I met in high school. I’m almost certain we went to middle school together, too, but we did not run in the same circle back then. My sophomore year, she and I were in the same yearbook class and we quickly became friends. As the years went by, when I came home to visit Florida, I would see her almost every time I got together with my friend Bridget. So when the three of us got together for dinner last summer, Alex mentioned she wanted me to photograph her wedding! After talking the details with her, I can’t help but get excited. Their wedding is going to be SO magical and I’m so ready for November!
