A Summer Wedding at Magnolia Mule Barn
Jessica and Josh’s relationship began back in 2017 at Jessica’s brother’s wedding. She was a bridesmaid and Josh was a groomsmen. They’ve been inseparable ever since that evening.
Jessica says she knew of Josh but doesn’t remember meeting him before the weekend of the wedding. They chatted and flirted and Josh made fun of Jessica for not wearing something warmer for the rehearsal dinner. Their friends spent a little time match-making and Jessica and Josh spent the wedding night riding dirt roads until 6am (which is really the way to Jessica’s heart)!
Josh proposed in February of 2019. It was a simple Sunday afternoon – they had spent the day playing golf and throwing the softball around in the yard. When they came inside, Josh was going through some softball jerseys he just bought for his team. He secretly purchased one with “Mrs. Gladin” on the back so he grabbed the ring, got down on one knee, and Jessica said yes!
Jessica and Josh’s wedding was a perfect May day – the sun was shining bright and there was hope in the air. They were unsure about how the coronavirus was going to impact their wedding but their day went off without a hitch!
Jessica and Josh decided to do a first “touch” photo and share written letters to each other. It was so sweet! Josh asked “are you sure I can’t just turn around and see her?” – I mean I’m all for a first look but they wanted to save that special moment for when Jessica was coming down the aisle.
For some reason, I feel like I hardly ever get to enjoy a long stretch of sunset with my couples… and I am SO GLAD we carved out time to play during golden hour! Since they opted not to have a first look, we saved their portraits for after the ceremony and then for sunset. We got to play around in the gorgeous field behind the barn and they are by far some of my favorite images ever! Oh, Jessica also bought something funny to add to their bride and groom photos… you’ve gotta scroll to see!!
Congratulations Jessica and Josh! Wishing you two a lifetime of happiness and long dirt roads!
